How Does the Power-Save 1200™ Unit Work?
The Power-Save 1200™ Unit reduces the amount of power drawn from the utility by storing (in its capacitors) otherwise lost electricity (watts) caused by the inductive motors in your home. (Some examples of inductive motors are Air Conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, pool pumps, vacuum cleaners, furnace blower motors, fans etc.) The technology applied by the Power-Save 1200™ Unit supplies that stored electricity back to your inductive loads, thus causing you to decrease your demand from the utility. If you decrease your demand from the utility, your meter slows down, and you use less electricity. The thought is, you’ve already paid for that electricity, why pay for it and waste it when you can pay for it, store it, and reuse it again. This whole process is called power factor optimization.
What is Power Factor?
Power factor is the percentage of electricity that’s delivered to your house and used effectively, compared to what is wasted. For example, a 1.0 power factor means that all the electricity that’s being delivered to your home is being used effectively for its purpose. However, most homes in North America today have a .77 power factor or less. This means that 77% of the electricity that is coming thru your meter at your home or business is being used effectively, the other 23% is being wasted by your inductive load. With a low power factor, the utility has to deliver more electricity to do the same work. However, the Power-Save 1200™ increases that power factor in most cases to .97 or .98, thus increasing the effective use of your electricity and lowering your usage.
Does the Power-Save 1200™ work in any home?
Yes it does, as long as you have a circuit breaker panel with breaker switches and not the old screw in type fuses, the unit will work on any single-phase electric application for homes.

Warranty Start Date: "Start Date" as used in this policy means
the date this product is shipped from the manufacturing facilities of
Power-Save 1200™ or installed by a Power-Save 1200™ employee or its designee.
Power-Save 1200™ warrants that for a period of five (5) years from the Start
Date, the Power-Save 1200™ unit purchased by customer ("Unit") shall
be free of defects in material and workmanship or damage by lightning under
normal authorized use consistent with the product instructions if installed by
a licensed electrician.
If this product fails due to damage by lightning, Power-Save 1200™ will replace
the unit free of charge. This product warranty extends only to the original
purchaser. In the event that Power-Save 1200™ receives notice during the
warranty period that any Unit does not conform to its warranty, Power-Save
1200™ will provide return-to-factory repair, with a twenty (20) business day
turnaround from the date of receipt of the product at a Power-Save 1200™ Repair
Center. Power-Save 1200™ , at its sole option, will either repair or replace
the nonconforming Unit. Unit replaced under the terms of any such warranty may
be refurbished or new equipment substituted at the option of Power-Save 1200™.
Power-Save 1200™ will use commercially reasonable efforts to ship the
replacement Unit within twenty (20) business days after receipt of the product.
Actual delivery may vary depending on the location of the purchaser.
No warranty will apply if the Unit (i) has been altered, except by Power-Save
1200™; (ii) has not been installed, operated, repaired, or maintained in
accordance with instructions supplied by Power-Save 1200™ in the enclosed
documentation; or (iii) has been subjected to unreasonable physical, thermal or
electrical stress, misuse, negligence, riots, civil disturbances, war, or other
related acts of God. Power-Save 1200™ warranty obligations do not include
installation support. Dead on Arrival ("DOA"): For up thirty (30)
days from the Start Date, Power-Save 1200™ will provide expedited replacement
of an affected field replaceable unit that fails to operate within twenty-four
(24) hours of initial installation. For purposes of this DOA policy, "fail
to operate" shall mean a material failure to substantially perform in
accordance with the Hardware's technical specifications and shall not include
cosmetic or other deficiencies that do not materially affect Unit performance.
A new field replaceable unit will be shipped from Power-Save 1200™ 'S
manufacturing facilities within ten (10) business days of Power-Save 1200™ 'S
receipt and validation of customer's notification of an inoperative unit.
Notification must be sent by customer via online procedures set forth below.
Defective Unit must be returned within thirty (30) days of failure, or customer
pays purchase price of replacement Unit. Non-U.S. customers should allow for
additional transit time due to international customs clearance.
